22 million children in the United States are injured each year. With proper education, children can learn to be safer and prevent injuries. The Safety Ape was created to teach children important safety and injury prevention through music which has been shown to enhance memory.
Award winning children's songwriter, Ross Orenstein, who is licensed to write, produce, and distribute music and coloring books for The National Crime Prevention Council's McGruff the Crime Dog, and also writes music for Rotary International's Four-Way Test. Ross also produced a puppet production on reading and literacy for Coca-Cola and Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) for their StoryTraveler Tour featuring his original music. The Go Ape Band won a Gold Addy Award for the Safety Ape cassette and The StoryTraveler Tour won a silver REGGIE® Award for cause related promotions!
